I read this today and thought it beautifully describes anyone who creates, whether it be music, art, or literature. Sometimes, when we analyze things, we often give life to more than the artist started with...but that's okay...and, it is indicative of the genius of a work:
“The artist is a servant who is willing to be a birthgiver…each work of art, whether it is a work of great genius, or something very small, comes to the artist and says, ‘Here I am. Enflesh me. Give birth to me."
- Madeline L’Engle
